The only thing we need from you is a fresh canvas! Be sure to wash your face before your appointment, removing any makeup, oil, or residue on your skin. 

Avoid doing any skin treatments before your makeup application. Treatments such as waxing, laser treatments, microdermabrasion, or other intense skincare treatments can make your skin especially sensitive. It would be best to avoid wearing makeup too soon after those treatments as this could irritate the skin. It would be best to do these procedures at least 1 week before your scheduled application.

We like to allot one hour for a makeup application. This will include a mini consultation at the beginning of your session to determine the look you want.

Each artist’s kit will vary but we only use makeup products that are professional-brand. Some popular brands our artists carry in their kits are Makeup Forever, Giorgio Armani, Mac, Fenty Beauty, Bobbi Brown, Makeup by Mario, Urban Decay, and Charlotte Tilbury.

The products our artists use are high end and professional brand makeup, intended for long wear. Most of these products are waterproof/sweat-proof. Depending on your skin type, you can expect your makeup to last at least 8-10 hours without doing any major touch-ups.

Yes! Our artists have fully stocked kits which include a full range of colors and products that are suitable for any skin type and color.

Acne is a concern for many of our clients, however, you don’t need perfect skin to achieve a beautiful makeup application. Our mobile makeup artists will take great care of you and your skin; every artist on our team is professionally trained and will consult with you before applying any product to your skin. Ensuring you will be comfortable and confident at the end of your session, is our top priority.

We aren’t happy unless you are! If there is something you want adjusted or added, just let your artist know and they will address your concerns. It is not very common that our clients don’t like the results of the makeup application. However, it is important to make sure you communicate your expectations clearly to the artist; we always suggest having an inspiration picture to show your artist the look you’re going for!

Most importantly the “during” process will look very different from the final look, so it can be hard for a client to judge what the outcome will be like based on the initial stages.

If you're getting your makeup done for a specific event, like an on-stage performance or TV appearance, the makeup may look heavier than you're used to. While it might seem intense up close, the bright stage lighting or high-resolution cameras can wash out the makeup, making it look balanced and appropriate on-screen or under lights. This is why it’s important to let our makeup artists know what event you’re attending, so we can tailor the makeup application as necessary. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions to our artists. We value open communication and our goal is to ensure you feel comfortable and confident throughout the process.

It depends on your personal preferences! If you have facial hair such as a beard or mustache, we will not apply makeup to the hair, we will work around the facial hair as the makeup will only be applied to the skin. If you prefer a clean-shaven look, then it is best to shave at least an hour before your appointment to ensure a smooth makeup application without stubble being in the way. If you have a five o'clock shadow, we can cover it with foundation and concealer to give you an even complexion.

It depends on the client and what their requests are. It’s mainly determining preference and what type of makeup look the client envisions. Our artists always consult with our clients before they start the makeup application! Overall, the process is the same!

We recommend using a hydrating face wash or makeup remover followed by a moisturizer. To remove false lashes, gently rub water on the lash line to loosen the glue and remove the false lashes.
